    Default Modification to previous tip

Some time back I posted an idea that I had seen elsewhere using safety pins to store and sort various size swivels and snaps. This works fine, but when I tip my Plano box upright, the pins were small enough to slip between the lid and the compartment top and I would have to hunt through several compartments to find and errant pin full of swivels.
I saw a key chain arrangement that gave me an idea. I put all the safety pins on a slip ring. Now they are all together, I can open the pin to remove whatever I need, and the split ring with all the pins is too large to slip out of the compartment, so they are always where they should be.
Sometimes the simplest things work the best.
(you can also use this on loose fish hooks to keep them corralled)

Good idea. I use 35mm film canasters and pill bottles.

Me too Ray. After seeing your idea about the safety pins, did that the following weekend. Thanks!
