    Default 4"-6" of rain

Weather people are saying 4-6" of rain between Saturday and Tuesday. There goes the water levels again. Guess that is better than 4-6' of snow.

Whatever keeps the LOZ up for the crappie spawn...I know Ameren is not concerned about our crappie fishing but I really hope the water levels are higher in the spring.

Wouldn't plan on that. They are dumping water enough to have the lower Osage bank to bank just below the lip.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

well it hit rock bottom with me....I was hoping to get in some fishing over the weekend, could not go today. Have to try again next weekend. A lot of places already up and muddy have to hit one of the holes not so affected by so much rain. People who bowl, play pool, and go to the casino for recreation don't have this weather problem.

Fine by me, boat is still in the shop! But seriously it's getting to the point to where I consider these normal conditions! Dang rivers and lakes are a constant yo-yo, it seems.

I'm thinking just the other way I would rather have it low in spring . That way it will rise and not hurt the eggs when they let it out . If its high and the crappie spawn and they let the water out good bye eggs.
May all your live wells be full.
