Howdy folks,
I've been away from my home of Dayon, TX for over two years now. I have not wet a hook since I moved. I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes of catching crappie in this state. From what I've seen on the maps, all we have are oversized mudholes around here, no real lakes to speak of. Thanks in advance.

I live in the Kiowa/Ramah area, so anywhere I go will be quite a haul. Thanks for the info. Were you fishing from a boat, on the bank, or ice fishing? What time of year did you do best? Was there any size to the crappie down there? I've seen pictures, of guys up here showing off fish that I'd use for bait.

I know you're on this site because of crappie, but Colorado has world-class trout fishing. I'd take advantage of it.

Ditto the Trout fishing.
When I lived in Frisco we hand caught Trout out of Ten Mile creek.
