Yes, a day that will always live in infamy. The day a "Sleeping Giant" was awakened.

It was before my time but I know that day it is. History was my best subject.

Every once in a while someone thinks we are fat and lazy, then they rattle the cage. Big mistake!!!!

What I remember most about that day was the rare occasion when as a kid, some adults wouldn't know we were in earshot and start talking about their REAL feelings of how they felt about that day and the war that followed. I'll never forget those conversations........

I had that same conversation with my kids on 9/11. At my sons track meet everyone had an awkward silence. The only thing to break the air was three jets, two military fighters escorting Air Force One. While sitting at the dinner table that night I looked at both my high school aged sons and told them we were going to war. Some of their friends would join, some would never come back. Being a Marine, I supported there decision, what ever that may be. My wife, not soo much. Fast forward, my nephew returned from a tour Friday.
