hit the local creek again

the water was still running a bit and the current poses a new facet in the adventure .
went for an hour at lunch break and didn't exactly slaughter them but I did ketch me about a dozen assorted sunfish .
in the mix were some black crappie and that spot is getting beat down by the crappie anglers for sure .
there are crappie plastics laying around here and there and even crappie nibbles up on the trees
the good news is that if you down size in a spot that has been thrashed many times the fish are still there
they are just numbed out to a regular size bait .
so I put on a 1/64 number 8 and a very natural Thermocline lures natural shad in the lil fry size
and I didn't use any crappie nibbles ....but mostly kuz I dint have any with me ....haha
and got busy jerking me a few lips .....no really large fish but I just have to ketch some fish to keep on keeping on .
lost one or 2 and only managed maybe 2 or 3 legal size crappie . 2 of the bream were pretty nice as well
and the one lil bass wasn't much ....the fish were holding close to the bank ....in less than 5 foot of water
and if the creek is like the area lakes the water temp is right at 60 .....
hope to get out soon and go after larger crappie ...but till then some crappie beats no crappie all day long for me

I wish I could go ketch fish everyday yawl ......
but it seems I am destined to only go when I can go these days .....
not every trip is a good one
and not every trip are the crappie large ones
the good news is like posted above ...
