Sounds like a great day...thanks for the report
Great day at Purvis, had a limit at 0915 hours...launched at Lighthouse Marina and did not burn much gas. Shooting docks and pitching in shallow brush was productive. The fish were gnawing on 2 inch slab slayers, blue ice and red n char. When pitching I was letting the jig fall to the bottom and reeling up. When shooting I was letting a 1/16 oz jig fall a 3 to 5 sec count and reeling back. Either way the fish wanted it on a slow retrieve. Few solid ones but mostly eaters. Beautiful day, sun was shining, light wind, water temp 58 degrees, fish were biting....no complaints here.

Looking like I should have gone fishing congrats.
Good report and nice pictures. Those are some nice slabs.
Good work!
Nice always loved the purvis area !
May all your live wells be full.Dave
Congrats on the limit. Thanks for the report and pics. That Slab Buster definitely showing some wear n tear.
Thanks for the report. It helped me decide where to go this morning. I put in at the Hurricane Deck bridge about 7:15 am and went towards Purvis but never went more than a 1/2 mile from the bridge. Had my limit of NICE fish by 9:30 off two docks. Checked a couple more docks that had fish I'm gonna hit in the mourning. All my fish were caught on Slab Busters, Electric Chicken was the hottest and a 1/16 oz. Orange head in empty dock wells on main channel points. Again thanks for the Purvis report.
They are stacked up pretty good when you find a hot dock. After I limited out I tried a deep dock off a bluff and caught one dang near every time. I imagine they will stack up on the Gravios pretty soon, but the Purvis area is usually a good jig bite. Glad you you tore em up....is that Hurricane Deck ramp public or private?
