Good report
NOPE I was just squid ding around .....
tried an interesting plastic that I have not dropped before
a plastic squid I got from Bob @ BOB's Jigs .....
I was skeptical I must say
and I didn't think I had the right color set up
that is until the VERY first cast
and then shortly after that there was no doubt cast upon this subject any more
4 foot under a float ,,,about 10 foot of water ...
shade under a bridge ...later afternoon ....
they killed this bait over and over till I got tired a ketchn em .....
am still kinda shocked they liked it so much
I don't think we got a thing that even looks close swimming around
and they ate this bait like it was a real food item ...
very nice

Thank you for reporting the little squid has been doing quite well all over.
don't forget they sometimes eat freshwater shrimp and when they are juveniles they eat copepods at times...also snatch up several varieties of insects that lay eggs in the lake or river bottom and then hatch rising to the surface, they catch them underwater...so don't always have to look just like a minnow.
Very Nice
I use more strange looking lures for crappie than the average crappie ketchn person ......
they will eat anything that's small enough to get in the ole crappie mouth is my thought
...some of my largest crappie have bit Crawlrz from Crazy angler
its a crawdad looking lure .....
and I imagine this here squid looks a bit "crawdaddish" to them as well .....
and NEVER underestimate the mighty ole earthworm either ....
I have seen them smash grasshoppers several times in the summer as well ......
they is just an overgrown bream with big mouths to me .....

I have reported on the little squid by Bob's Jigs many times. It is more deadly than a tube bait because of the shape of the tentacles. The ones on this jig undulate and move in a sexy motion to really entice the fiish. They are moving even when you try and hold the lure dead still in your hand. Fish it under a slip float where the motion of the waves can impact the subtle movement and you have a winner. I like mine Bob especially the Chartreuse and black ones.
