    Default Replacing zebco 11

My zebco 11 micro trigger spin started messing up (i.e. snags when casting) and I'm looking to replace it. It lasted two years.
I use it on a 6' b&m pole for casting under docks from my kayak.

Anyone suggest a good replacement micro?

Diawa makes a good one or just replace it with same. shakespeare, pflueger and there's one with BPS name on it. Not saying which one is best, but I've got a Diawa that I like.

The Pflueger President trigger spin $45 is great, the Daiwa 40, $25 is OK. I use both.

I googled both. The Pflueger got terrible reviews and the Daiwa got good reviews.

Have you tried taking it apart? I had some 11s and some Pfluegers that were snagging, I took them apart and found a lot of line in the internals.

Zebco's new underspin is really nice! They finally redesigned the 33 so there's no more jamming problems inside the cone and it works great. They do have it in a trigger spin, course don't know what size reel you're looking for.

Now that Fatman mentions it, I had 33s.

Shimano IX2000 this is the one I use. I have 8 of them. $12.00 at Academy. Never had a problem with any of them.
I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.
