Default the rain made the water HIGH AND MUDDY .....

of course when the rainfall in the area exceeds 8 inches one could expect just such a situation . then we have the high pressure pushing thru right behind it and a nice steady 10 to 15 north wind . I would venture to say these particular conditions are some of the worst for crappie ketchn ,but hey someones gotta do it right ?
so I chased the front and headed for the bluebird sky .....
I used an 8 foot Bonehead rod ...and Okuma reel with 6 lb clear mister crappie yesterday ...a thill pinch on and a 1/32 number 6 sickle pro ball from crazy angler . I tipped the jig with a thermocline lil fry in pearl ice ....set the depth at 8 and began the difficult task of casting in the wind with this set up off the bank .
some of the fish slammed it and some laid the float up ...missed several and managed a dozen in my hand in an hour . back home to football and dinner I went ....4 30 pm to 5 30 pm ......
all fish were released to do whatever they were doing before I got there ....they were holding tight to sunken tree in 14 foot of water ......
and that is my story and as always .....
    have great day ....

Wow! Nice crappie and a dozen in a hour with those conditions is not bad at all. Thanks for the fishing report, fishing information, and pictures.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Wish I could tame my water to only a mild ripple in 10-15 mph north winds.. Nice catch !

very observant there sir ...this is our go to lake on windy days ....high ridges surround it and its pretty nice on the east bank behind that fallen willow on a north wind
these fish prefer a very still bait though and even a ripple makes it a bit difficult to get a bite .
thanks everyone for the reads and comments
    have a great day
