    Default trolling motor help

I have a 120 amp hour rating battery 12v 30lb thrust Minn kota getting about an hour and a half of use before battery dies. The battery is less than a year old and always charged before and after use. The battery should last 3hrs at very minimum what could be my problem

Sounds like the battery has bad cell , over the years I have had a couple different batteries from walmart go bad very fast, I just take em back and swap em out.

If you have a digital multi meter check the voltage after a charge.

Take the battery to NAPA. They will test it for you.

Yes, for marine batteries they need to be Checked with an 100amp load on them. Auto parts store will do it for free.

If it is weak or has a bad cell it will show up quickly.

Also pull your prop and make sure there isn't any line wrapped around the shaft.
