For trolling, strolling, and spider-rigging so I can identify what it is that I have been doing for the last 10 years! Thanks in advance.

I know what I think I know, but here lately I no longer know what I use to know. Wow, now I don't think I know squat. I do know strolling tho, thats when you walk from the truck to the ramp. LOL. Trolling I would assume is when the boat is constantly moving and spider-rigging is when you have a lot of poles out while trolling or just drifting. Now I wonder if I could be wrong about strolling.

To me..... trolling is a very general term and can be done in a number of ways(spider rigging is one of them).
strolling is a cross between trolling and drifting(a little of both)
spider rigging is specialized trolling, from the front mainly but can be both front and rear. It gets it's name from looking like a giant spider.
I'm sure there is a better explanation but that's basicly it... to me anyway.

    Default daffynitions??

Who comes up with all these dumb ass names for fishing? Spider rigging, ha! My neighbor has about 20 poles out at a time, maybe he ought to be centipede rigging. Hey, spiders have only six legs. Dragging, strolling, scooting, shooting docks, what the heck! Ain't none of this stuff new folks, except the terminology. Sounds like a bunch of dance routines from the 50's to me. I been around, and getting rounder and hope to be around and get rounder. haha

    Talking

No one mentioned daubing, my favorite way to crappie fish. It is just putting a jig on the end of about 4-5' of line on the end of a cane pole and jigging different areas where crappie stay. I am sure it has other names in other areas.
Nothing new but very effective at times.

Ok, so strolling is just bumping your trolling motor every now and then. All this time I thought it was bumping along. Now how am I going to get back to the truck? I guess I'll have to craw like I use to in my drinking days. LOL
