Yeah its unfortunate. I DVR a lot of fishing shows in the spring and summer and watch them all year long. There are still fishing shows (I think its set to record 3 or 4 this weekend), just not as many.

deer horns....the national obsession. I am paying the highest cable bills of my life and still don't have an outdoor channel. They want extra for that and I refuse when it use to be part of basic cable. Don't matter....weren't nothing but advertising anyway. That's why I just get on here and spout my insanity at times....nothing on tv and out of gas money or trying to recharge my batteries for the next outdoor adventure. And work wears me out more as I get older so I sit more than I use too,but I ain't dead yet...

I make my living off hunting and fishing and those who pursue it but I still say outdoor TV is the worst thing to ever happen to hunting and almost that bad with fishing.

Amen! Hunting shows give unreal expectations to young hunters. I can't stand all of the advertisements. I used to record hunting and fishing shows but not anymore. You can still get a good fix on some YouTube videos. That's what I prefer now.

So do I. Especially the Al Linder, Bill Dance or Jimmy Houston Crappie Fishing Shows. I also like Bil Sherk's Made for the outdoors show that shows how outdoor products are made and manufactures.
