Default well at least the sliced brisket samitch had some size to it ......

because for sure the fish at that lake didn't seem to ......
went on a short road trip to a spot I have been hearing god things about . there is a bar b q trailer on the way there that has some of the finest bar b q I have ever encountered .so after a big pile of fries and sliced brisket samtich off we went . I will say this much we hit four bridges ,lots of docks and bunches of timber ....tried a rock pile or 2 and just couldn't find any quality size fish to speak of . one thing for certain I know there are larger fish somewhere in there and some of my buds have done well there at times . but it wasn't the day for us yesterday for sure .best fish of the day was just a keeper ...last photo ....
best part of the day I would say was the lunch for sure ....a butterfly was trying like heck to have some of my samitch
found that part to be about the most fun of this particular episode .....
    next lake please .....

The butterfly pic is confusing... can't tell if he's eyeing your sam'mich, just delivering some good luck, or waiting his turn to fish !

Nothing wrong with a good BBQ sandwich. I have had trouble getting back on some good size crappie ever since August myself.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Ah yes on the way to my relatives farm in northeast Texas I always stop at a Texas roadside BBQ trailer with a very large steel plate smoker box sitting next to trailer, mighty fine eating brisket & slaw on the side...........
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

ran it off once and it came right back .....he was just sitting on my forearm looking at my samitch with a strange look in his lil butterfly eye ....LOL

so here is the scoop .....
if you are ever going thru a little spot on the road ....highway 377 south out of ft worth
and pass thru a town called Cresson ...they do have a stop light there btw ....
beside the liquor store behind a bunch of flags in a tiny red trailer are a husband and wife cooking bar b q
they only serve breakfast and lunch and close at 2 pm ......
its a mighty mean sliced brisket samitch for 5.50 .......
and it is worth the stop ......
