My partner and I decided to fish areas that didn't produce in summer and caught fish; areas we had caught fish produced nothing except for one location. Water temp has dropped from 72 to 60 and a cold front with rain has changed water level. Days are getting shorter and weeds are dying. You might think the lake is turning over but I'm not so sure at this point:

Fish were shallow and near weedy humps adjacent to deep water. The numbers and quality weren't half bad yesterday under a blue bird sky with a nice breeze. The thing I found strange was that most locations were much different than last month. I suppose bait fish school locations changed and so did the locations of following predator fish, but we found huge bait fish schools in open water and no larger fish beneath them.

Should be interesting the change of location when water temp drops and stays in the mid to low 50's.
