Rod question ?

do crappie have more rods or cones or equal amounts of each ......
what do you think ?

I was sure hoping to get this subject going in here to better educate crappie fisher folks ....
what hey see matters ALOT and how they see as well ......
they are a nocturnal predator as most of you know and have eyes developed to be good at it .....that said it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know how an owl eye works and or any other large eyed critter of the dark , rods are it inside the eye of the nocturnal . they very greatly in how they work and in numbers as well . but let there be no doubt about it ......the rods count
I have read in depth on this subject and that said there isn't a terribly high number of "scientific" studies I could find on specifically crappie eyes . but a few studies that I have found indicate there eyes are VERY light sensitive and it was due to the "rods" .....
so when I talk crappie rods it aint about what you hold out there to ketch em .....LOL
