    Default pogy rig?

Looking for help with a fishing question.
Several years ago, we were fishing in Florida for Kings off a pier in the gulf. In the corner was a fishing pole with a trap to catch fresh pogies for bait. It was about 15" long X 3" wide mesh netting with a red ribbon weaved through the mesh. At the bottom was a weight to take it down. Does anybody know what these are called or used them.
    Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I sent them an email.
I also remember that anyone was welcome to use the pole. Kids were catching them and putting them in a bucket.

Sounds like something home made. Maybe a pin fish trap someone rigged up on a pole for ease of use. Try googling pinfidh trap and see if that gets ya close. The dimensions ya mention sounx close.

Since they are consider a gil net, they have become illegal. I thought it was a great little rig and it seemed to pull out bait instantly.
    Thanks for the help.
