Default Quick Change Snaps - Arkie & Bandit

For those of you that use them, what type/brand and size of quick change snap swivels works best with the Arkie and Bandit cranks, and do you remove the split ring or just connect to the split ring.
Thanks chippo thanked you for this post

I don't use snap "swivels", but instead use the "duo lock snaps" by Luhr Jensen & other brands. They're silver in color. I use them on cranks, blade baits, and for connecting my leader/jig setup to the main line when pushing jigs or spider rigging.

I never remove split rings from baits that come with them, just clip the duo lock snap to them and fish.

I've never had a "swivel" perform as advertised, whether it be a brass barrel type or ball bearing (Sampo) style snap swivel. When the bait fouls, or rolls from too high a retrieve speed, the end result has always been line twist that's not alleviated by the swivel. But, I will admit that most of my crankbait use has been with the casting method, and only minimal use in trolling.

Duo lock snap #3 I put a swivel about 2 feet up the line

Do you also use the duo locks when spider rigging to quick change out jigs, hooks, and other artificial baits. Are they just used just for crank baits. Also what sizes are the most used and kept in your tackle box. Another question is are they hard to open and close? Thanks for all the information and help on this as they look stronger than regular swivel snaps.
Be safe and good luck fishing
