Default Slider - Show me your Rod Rack Contest

A buddy and I just built the below rod storage rack in about an hour yesterday (you may have seen my other post about it). But anyway, lets have a little contest of the best racks. This will be a quick one, it'll only run for a couple days, post a pic or two of your rod rack and the best looking one will win some Charlie Brewer Sliders.

made this one with just a cpl pieces of 1x4 and a hole saw...the piece where the rod butts rest is at a 45* angle so it forces the tops to lean back and stay in their groves..No straps to hold them or anything..just good ole' gravity... Works better that any i have ever seen....and SIMPLE to make

Not Purdy, but EASY and INEXPENSIVE.

You will need a piece of 2 X 4, a spade bit, and a piece of swimming noodle. You can make this as wide as you wish.

Wow! I hate to show my old worn out stuff after seeing everyone else's nice stuff. My wife just can't figure why I need another reel and rod though.

    Default Garage door rod mounts

I mounted my long rods on my garage door. They ride up and down with no problems and are out of the way. The ones that are 10 feet or more have the small hanger at the end to keep them from flopping around as the door moves. I dipped the "J" hooks in rubber Plasticote to keep from possible wear on the rod but that was probably overkill.
All this stuff came from standard hardware items at Lowe's. Very little cost.
