    Default winter time crappies

Hey everybody,Iam from North Dakota please no jokes.Going to be fishing in a derby this weekend and lookingfor some ice fishing info on crappies. The lake has been stock with crappies for several years. But nobody catches them in the winter ,just a few get caught during the summer by accident on walleye rigs and when they catch one its usually a 1lb or bigger.Any body got any info.
    Thanks, Murrdock!

any points 5-6 feet deep out into 15-25 feet water? shallow inlet areas or bays full of wood or sticks as in 3 feet or less? sheer drop offs? start these places.

look for contour difference. ditches, old creeks, bridges anything that offers a bump or a dropoff. piles of brush are great. watch your electronics and get a topo map of the lake. I fish structure more than anything else. one or two foot differences can be crappie magnets.
