    Default Transducer question

Have a Lowrance fish finder and broke the transducer off where it attaches to the transom bracket. Do I have to buy a new one and rewire the whole thing?

No, Loctite makes a 2 part epoxy kit for plastic that works good. Just follow the instructions and be patient. Got mine a Lowes and sure you can buy it other places. It comes in a blister pack and is in a Syringe type applicator. May be others that would work as well, just make sure it is for plastic. One I fixed has been used for 4/5 years with no problem.

One of the members on here advertised he was looking transducers with broken or cut wires, etc. He refurbishes them and resells. I think he also repairs for customers as well. I meant to bookmark his post in case I needed him but I didn't so someone will have to help out with his contact info. Of course if the Loctite works it is a moot point.

NO NO NO Rickie "rnvinc" on the KY board wants damaged cable ducers so he can experiment with them and also to improve his DA-DUCER device.

OK sorry I thought he also repaired them. On to the Locite. If that does not work might give this a shot. I plan to order one to try. Not a Glue – Bondic®

I broke mine 2 years ago. I hit it with my knee while filling up at the gas station. I used some gorilla glue epoxy and then held it together with rubber bands for 48 hours. Haven't had an issue since.
