It wasn't all about me, thank goodness. Rickie did hold up his end of the boat pretty good. Always good to get a chance to get Cuzz out for a few hours of relaxing.

This little guy got lucky. Being less than an inch short of the legal size kept him swimming. We don't catch nearly as many sauger on KY Lake as we used to but still consider them to be the best eating fish out there.

    Darn Rickie you're getting old!

People are going to think I'm crazy for saying this, well some probably thinking it any way. Some of the most fun I've ever had fishing was catching drum in the Tennessee river. My buddy that I used to bass fish with and I would go to the river when we wanted to just "fish" and relax and catch drum. If you know an older kid that hasn't fished take them drum fishing, they'll be hooked on fishing for life.

This drum was hooked on a crank on a 16 foot Capps and Coleman pole while moving at 1.8mph with 80 feet of line out. It was a ball getting him to the net and keeping the other 7 rods from being tangled up. We used up all our luck getting him into my square EGO crappie net.

My buddy Chaunc and I keep pawning the "Gaspergoo King" title off on each other. I think one I caught on ultra-light tackle in April a couple of years ago while fishing with Chaunc on KY Lake might still hold the title.

That's what friends and fishing are all about.

They got nothing on Asian Carp. Slimiest dang fish ever. And they bleed all over the place too.
