I sure wished all you folks would quit posting about watching The Sportsman Channel online. I'v been trying ever since it was first mentioned and all I can get is the popup player that just stays black.
I have Road Runner cable and all they offer is OLN and the Outdoor Channel. They dribble just very few decent shows interspersed amongst many infomercials, bull riding, off road wrecking and gravity games crap suited for West Coast types in Los Angeles. Do you suspose that since Time Warner doesn't supply it over cable TV here they make it so I can't get it over the net on their ISP service.
Real bummer. I would like to have seen Jerry in action.

Are you sure you are giving it plenty of time to load? I have cable internet and it seemed to take a long time to load - screen just stayed black for quite a while.

Jerry - Thought the show was great. Glad you caught some fish. I was worried for awhile. lol

The internet connection wasn't great and I have cable, but was able to view most of it. Sometimes it was delayed.

In any case congradulations on a good show.

    Thanks Hoot:

I was starting to wonder if we were going to catch any fish too! It was a slow day and we had some weather moving in. We tried to tape the next day but it was raining so we couldn't. Russ says the Lake Hamilton show is going to be a lot better - I know the weather was a lot better and we caught some nice fish.

Here's the keepers from the show on Greeson that is airing now.

And these are the keepers from the Lake Hamilton show:

    Jerry:

The show was very good. I was able to view it and it was pretty smooth for the most part. In the 30 minutes the show aired on the internet I have maybe 30 seconds of slow display. So I got about 29 minutes of smooth play.

Not sure what the others are doing to prevent the show from working on their computers.

I was able to right click on the screen and then choose to display the show in full screen mode. That Alt+Enter command would only let me go back to the regular size screen and would not put the movie into full screen mode. I had to right click on the screen to choose full screen from the zoom menu.

A firewall could stop the movie from downloading if you don't set up the firewall to let Windows Media Player to work though the firewall. I set up Zone Alarm Pro to let Windows Media Player to have full access to the internet.

Everyone might want to open windows media player and then choose the tools menu item and then the options and go through the tabs and make sure that everthing is setup right. check the performance tab especially and set it to the default settings for best performance.

I haven't tried watching it yet, I have a 56k modem and everything is slow on it. Steaming video is just about impossible. I would say the internet connection would have alot to do with how well you can download it into your computer. Some of us are stuck with obsolete technology.
I do alot of video editing, mostly of my hunting dogs, and it is very difficult to upload or download videos over the internet. I have some hunting videos on www.huntingfootage.com under the username Redtick if anyone wants to download it. I wish someone had a similar site where fishing videos could be stored and downloaded to interested folks.

Here is an addy to one of my hunting videos. http://www.huntingfootage.com/showphoto.php?photo=405
The only reason I am posting the hunting video is to show how the technology can be used. Wouldn't it be great to have a similar site where crappie videos can be posted?

Does anyone know what the show schedule is? Not the time schedule I have that all posted with reminders in my outlook so I can remember.
