    Default TM quit

Minn Kota quit today. Nothing works. Only 1 year old. Battery good. Think it might be switch in foot control. Any suggestions?

Get a test light or volt meter and start checking. It's most likely a connection rather than a faulty motor.

Have volt meter somewhere. It is an Edge. No fuse or inline breaker. Frustrating. Had problems with the last one.

The mother board went out on my Minkota and nothing worked on it. Luckily it was still under warranty.

If it is factory wired it should have fuse or breaker close to battery, if not you need to install one. Take your meter and start at plug to see if you have power, if you do turn pedal over and check power to on off switch. If power going in check to see if it is coming out the other side when button is depressed. If it is then check speed control switch out put to motor. Check for loose connections while in there.

3 switches in foot control. Used voltmeter in them.the one behind the speed dial seems to be problem. Only get a reading when on 3. Other speeds nothing. Gonna rundown a part Monday.
