bps will swap out the transducer when you buy your unit if you ask them to. tell em you want to mount it on the trolling motor and they should swap it out. no charge. heres a photo of how mines mounted on the tm.

    Hey Rango:

I see you have an external ground on your TM to reduce noise on your graph. Did you go back to the negative side of your battery? Did it cure your noise?

I ran an internal ground from one of the brush plate mounting screws in the motor up to the negative side of the light for the arrow indicator on my Maxxum the other day and it completely eliminated the electrical noise on my Matrix 12.

its not a ground jerry. that bolt you see is to a clamp that holds the transcucer wire. heres a photo from the other side of the motor to clarify what its doing. sometimes i get noise interference. when that happens i change the speed just a tad and it goes away.

OK, sorry, I thought that was the ground Minn Kota recommends on their web site. I was getting quite a bit of noise on my graph. Could filter it out by setting the Noise Filter real high but I don't like doing that. I can turn my Noise Filter off now and not get any noise from the TM. I get a little interferance from my back graph but setting the Noise Filter on the lowest setting takes care of that.
