These are the ones I use CP. Took the straight end and rounded the outside of that off on a grinder to let them fit the 00 and 0 split rings I use on poney heads.

On my horse and pony heads I use a 0/1 German split ring, I get them from Hagens, they keep the blades on just fine.

any blade baits or replacing trebles on cranks stainless 1 -2 depending on size of the bait.

Truth be told on split ring pliers I like the cheap worth split ring pliers but I've gone to the Texas Tackle split ring pliers. They'res 2 sizes - I got mine from Cabela's

DO NOT ORDER RINGS FROM wLURE!!! JUNK ALERT!!!

On a small crank I use a #1. On a Bandit size bait or a slightly larger C55, I use #2. My eyes aren't what they used to be.

For split ring pliers, you don't save by trying to save. Here is what I use:

I use a #3 on the pull point on the baits I paint, and a 2 1/2 fine on the hooks. This came recommended to me and has worked very well. The pliers I use are made in Pakistan with a bent tip like Mr Dux uses and were cheap as I remember. The bent tip works great.

I'm curious as to the reasoning behind the fine split ring on the hooks ...??
