    Default pond boat trailer remodel

This is an old boat trailer I converted to a flatbed to haul my pond boat. This was my summer 2013 project. A lot of fun.

My pond boat is a bit bigger than yours but my trailer has a unique feature. The tongue extends 6 feet. It is a square tube inside a larger square tube. Pull the cross pin, pull the inner tongue out and reinsert the pin. It lets me keep the rear wheels of the pickup on dry ground when launching on poor or nonexistent ramps. I wrote it up on the tinboats.net forum.

thanks guys...this old trailer was destined for the junkyard when I found it in overgrown weeds on my father in law's farm after he passed away. The renovation served to help me through the grieving process. Upon its completion, I dedicated it to my best buddy/fishing partner. He would have really liked it. I miss you Ed.
