    Default Anyone use Power Pro?

Anyone use Power Pro on their spinning reels? I found it in 10lb 2lb dia. I use 30lb on my bait casters but not sure how it would work on a spinning reel.

I've switched everything over to power pro. Both the bait casters and the spinning reels. Casts better than fireline.
    That's just my opinion though.

I use it for crappi fishing to salt water fishing. 10# 2 dia to65# for salt water all on spinning. The thing with Power Pro after you use it for a while it gets softer and easier to cast and dosen't lose any of it's strength. I have been using it for a few years now and it saved a lot of lures and reting. Just keep your drag a little looser because it has no streatch and the feel is a lot better than mono

I used it last weekend for the first time while taping a couple of shows with Chatt Martin. After the first day, I went to Cabelas and bought my own! I really liked it and we were using spinning reels.

IMOHO its the best of the super lines. Just be sure you don't use a bare hand to pull your jig out of a hang. It will cut you.

I really like it. I think it is way better than Fireline. If you look close at Fireline it is flat, causing it to twist easy and not casting very smooth. With Power Pro it is round, eliminating those problems. I just spooled my ice rod with Power Pro Ice #8 test 2# diameter. Really works smooth....Now If I could just have some ICE.

    Default power pro

Yes it works on spinning reels! Also consider using stealth from spider wire, both are very easy to cast with, the 10/2 is my choice for casting, and the 20/6 is my go to for trolling, just loosen the drag a little, the 10/1, is pretty touchy for casting because of wind knots, I quit using it, except for some float and fly use.

    Thumbs up

Its worth every penny in my mind. Has no memory, no stretch means you feel every limb and every light bite. Also allows for less time tying jigs becuase 9 out 10 times you get your jig back. I prefer the 10/2 over all of them.

What they make is 8/1, 10/2, and 15/4, 20/6, and higher.

Cabelas sells all color and sizes.
