No but it sounds interesting.
Has anyone seen or purchased the new line of reels from Zebco called Slab Seekers with "Depth Locator"? They come in spinning and spincast.

Those look pretty neat. They'd about have to be good enough for drop fishin. It don't take much.
I like the concept but I'm usually not thinkin of hitting a button when I feel that tap.......I'm thinkin of bringing up a slab for the livewell.

I think I am going to buy a couple and try em out - we have a big fishing show in Raleigh this weekend and I will be looking for them
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!
There are alot of folks that seem to look down on Zebco reels but I have caught a ton of crappie with Zebco 33s. If you could set up these new reels to certain depths and they are made as well as the current 33s, they sound like a useful item.
They work good if you remember to set it when you catch a fish. The only problem that I had with mine was when you set it and the fish pulled line past where it was set it would release itself and loose your setting.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I mark my line with a Sanford marker so I know how deep I am fishing when I get a thump.
