I have been asked about the internal structure of the Pondtoon several times. I finally found a couple of pictures I took while visiting Alabama where the boat is made.
The foam is in between the ribs, from the front beginning at the riser in both sides of the pondtoons shells to the end just before the battery compartments aft. The boat wont sink unless it looses the flotation. The only way water gets in is thru screw holes or thru the aft battery access doors if open. We all know about metal boats and screws. Well, us real boaters know.
Picture shows it all. This is the original prototype which is how they are built today. 1 x 3 aluminum rectangle framework. The crease (side bend) has something to do with the strength too.
All I know is that the boat is approved by the boat Gods and has a yelller sticker on it.
Brenda and I have been caught ins some 3 foot swells with no issues. Water just rolls off the deck. We got a good deck cleaning last week.

Thanks Cane Pole! Feel a lot better after seeing all that. Answers all my questions. Looks like a pretty sturdy rig!! I thought any big waves would just give you a good deck cleaning. Thanks again. Hope this weather settles down a little so we can all have some peaceful days on our PONDTOONS!!!
That is a solid boat.
