Default EARLY SPRING TRIP LOCATION ADVICE

I and some friends want to do a end of March early April crappie fishing trip. Something around 8 to 12 hr drive south (Joliet Il area is home base) would like a lake with resort cabins, docks so boats can stay on the water for the trip, and preferrably downfalls or brush, seems working that kind of cover is our way of fishing. NOt really interested in the spider rigging style.

Man if it were me, I'd want to go to some of the Mississippi lakes.....Grenada, Sardis, Enid.....could be a lot of gewbers, but they sure grow some big 'ol crappies. Even if you don't want to spider rig,you could just each hold two rods and move along.... poor man's rigging.

    gewbers.......good!

Reelfoot or Weiss for what you describe. The fish are bigger in Ms, but we don't have those amenities.
