    Default Need some Information

I am going to be in the Branson area middle of July. Not the best time of year for fishing, but need some information on lakes to fish and guides that I can hook up with. Thanks in advance.

Taneycomo for trout....either drifting or sitting with power bait, or fly fishing in the trophy area. Table Rock for crappie, bass, catfish. Here''s a tip: Try to stay off the Hiway 76 strip....learn the back roads

Night fishing for bass can be really good that time of year. Pm me if you want specifics. Spent 8 years down there in the 80's and had a great time.

idk about fishing but I have stayed in Branson three times and booked through getravelop.com. Super good rates and they have several places for Branson. It is for government employees in any capacity and their families but I don't think the regulations are to restrictive for using the site.

I will tell you that a lot of places down there are experiencing high water right now do to the flooding rains we have had the last few days. We have been breaking records as far as the James River here around Springfield. I have seen a lot of news stories on TV as far as flooding around Branson. It should be down by the middle of the July but there may still be damage to some camp grounds.

Thanks to all you guys for the info. Vic n, I think I will check out the trout. Being from Georgia, the cool river sounds real good right now. Thanks again.

As for a guide, you should probably give Buster Loving a call. 417-335-0357
