    Default HULL NOISE PUSHING CRANKS

I am very new to pushing crankbaits...only done it twice. Both times I have experienced a high pitched buzz that seems to come from the bow. The noise continues when I kill the trolling motor until the speed subsides. If I lift two of the four rods off the SpyderLok rod holders the noise instantly goes away.

I'm running two 14' rods on each side of the bow and to kill the buzz the two rear rods have to be lifted. Boat is a Tracker 175 TXW.

Anybody got any ideas on how to get rid of the noise? It's very distracting and probably scares fish away.

Vibration of the rod holders does not seem to be the culprit. I can firmly hold both rod holders with no effect on the noise.

Sounds like bait vibration to me. Cpuld be the line doing it also. Shouldnt effect fishing.. The rattles in cranks will be 50x louder down there.

It's possible. Can't wait to go back out and experiment with it. Weather was too threatening today to spend much time on the water.
