Try adding a few strands of Flashabou tinsel, the same color as your jighead, and watch out crappies!:D
CrappieMagnet
killer baits
I would also try using the FL. Yellow in place of the FL. Chartreuse, but that's just me. You also may want to try a silver head.
They look good.
thanks for the replys, your right skip, i had the fl yellow feathers in my hand and set them down, but i will get some this weekend. I am still new to jig tying, but thanks for the good comments
Hey Slab slayer those are some nice looking jigs. I also make mcrappie jigs but mine are the ones with plastic bodies on No. 2 hooks. I dearly love makeing my own jigs but I am going to have to stop because I have become disabled and am no longer able to sit at a desk and tie the jigs. If you know anyone that would like to buy a turn-key crappie business let me know. Keep up with your jigs because they are some nice looking jigs.
Man - nice work. We are sure getting some fine jig craftsmen here. We are gonna have to have a national crappie jig show or something pretty soon. Its neat that these creations are truly functional crappie catchers to boot.
Those are very fishy looking jigs. I wouldn't change a thing. I think often fishing lure designs are for catching fishermen. Those 2 puppies will catch some fish for sure.

Good things come to those who bait.
I never had any luck using any brown jigs, but with the other colors you added that just might do the trick. All these jigs you are making are getting me to thinking about trying to tie my own. Just might give me some relaxation that I need when I get home from work. I guess I will head to Bass Pro Shop and start investing in the materials.
