Default Boat Cooler- portable or permanent?

I am rebuilding the Minnow Bucket and could use some opinions. This will be the first time I will have a cooler in a boat.

If you had your choice, would it be better to have the cooler removable (portable) or permanent?
I see advantages either way, but without practical experience it's hard to decide.
    What do you prefer?

I bought a Coleman 28 quart Marine Cooler for the job.

Portable = easier to clean, replace, or repair.

Portable for everything CP said and transporting fish from boat to the cleaning station.

I am a portable cooler user myself. You might be fishing with a buddy from shore or in their boat. no wiring problems to worry about, can be upgraded or replaced easily and most of all it is much easier to carry your fish in than draining and carrying the boat. LOL

Portable for the same reasons above but also to get more minnows and water in the cooler you sometimes need to bring it in the minnow store to put the minnows in it. Use Engle coolers as they are the BEST minnow bucket I have ever used!
