Well, nobody has posted lately so here goes. Finally got 3 days off so you know one would be tied up with a funeral visitation. Saturday hooked up with Gordon and went to the dam. The weir finally has cleared up and there was plenty of current. Lots of fish on the leading edge of the weir but the bite was tough. We had 3 nice blacks between 11 and 12 inches along with 6 decent whites. Caught the crappie over a space of about 30 minutes but then could not buy another bite. Caught some whites off and on and had something big break me off. After that all we could catch was drum. Tried rigging for a while but seemed to miss almost everything or else loose them after hookup. Tried some of Gordon's bait casters and was very impressed. The main problem was getting used to different drag system and setting free spool to prevent backlash. Darrin called to warn about the rain in Clinton headed our way. Thanks by the way. Got the boat on the trailer just when it started.
Nothing great but beets working in the yard. Sorry no pictures.

Been wondering if I was the only one fishing which would be odd. Good to read report Jeff thanks for the update. Wonder why the lack of reports I know there are members on the water?

Thanks for the great fellowship, Jeff. Sure needed that . Enjoyed the day and being out in a boat.

Dexter and I had about the same luck. We fished Saturday on the grand and Dexter caught a couple nice big slabs that we could have used on Sunday's tournament. We got off the lake before the rain started. Started drinking beer that afternoon and never got back on the lake. We did hook up with Longpoler for a BBQ and more cold ones that evening so we had a great time even though the fishing was tough.

We had a good time as well Mark.
It was good to see Double D visiting with the neighbor.
Looked like he was enjoying himself as well.
