Newmanns Lake
Gainesville Area.
Hwy 20 east & 234.

Directions: Take Hwy 20 east from
Gainesville to hwy 234, turn North (left)
Comming from hwy 301, going west, (right turn)
Follow highway 234 approx 2 miles to
County Rd SE16, (turn left - only direction
you can turn) follow to the end will drive
into lake down ramp.

This is our 2nd year on this lake,
weather was big factor last year with
plenty of rain. NOt so this year - heat
is prediction.
Event is being run almost exactly same day this year as last.

Pre-fish rumors has it that some
dandies have been caught already
this past month and into this.

Prediction: This year, with weather
starting to stablize more into summer
pattern:

Winning weight will be somewhere
around 10 - 10 1/2 lbs.

Pre-entry sign is already in the
20 plus range.

Rumor has it that pre-fish team out Ocala - boated several good eaters Sunday,
mostly in the 11 - 13" range, with couple hitting the 1 lb 4.0 wgt.
Looks like things will hold up pretty good for tournament Saturday.
Prefish wil really pickup Thursday & Friday if weathere holds out
Checked with Lochloosa Harbor this am and they have 4 rooms left incase anyone
