    Default Weights for pushing cranks

What type of weights do y'all use when pushing cranks. Been looking at a Do it mold for cannonball weights. I believe it has cavities for 3,4,5, 6 ounces.

I use the same as ScottV but lighter weights of 1oz, 1 1/2oz and 2oz. So far I've had no need for heavier and make sure your rods will take the extra weight. It's good fun.

Several members around my area are using Crawdads Fishing Tackle trolling weights : Trolling Weights .... mainly in the 2oz size for cranks, but also some are using lighter versions for spider rigging.

I use ScottVs weights....3 oz. You need enough weight to keep your line at a 45 degree angle going at 1.5 to 1.8 mph for this depth chart to work.

I have been using 3 ounces worth of egg sinkers put onto a brass wire. They look basically the same as the trolling sinkers y'all have shown. They just aren't as streamlined.

    Jack,

Not sure if anyone is doing it yet but check out OffShore Tackle's "Tadpole" weight. They are made to be trolled so I don't know if anyone has tried them for "pushing" yet.
They are member sponsors on this site as well.

Shoot NickD a PM and he might be able to tell you if they will work while "pushing". They are dynamite for pulling!
If you can't get ahold of him, I will see him tomorrow as both him and his dad Bruce (Chairman of the boards) will be at the Michigan Crappie Camp

I have seen them I am curious about how well they would work for pushing.
