Personally, I never use a line I can't see. I've never tried yellow, but have tried bright chartruese and Gold Stren (which is a yellowish orange). I catch more fish now than when I used line I couldn't see.

When you use hi vis line do you tie a leader of flourocarbon line or mono leader on it? If you do how long should it be?

I would not worry about it unless your in some pretty clear water. Then, the clearer the water the longer the leader. CF

First off, I cannot find Hi vis yellow line here in my hometown but also considered getting some and tying a flourocarbon leader on, or is it even necessary? Any night stalkers using hi vis that can share some light on this?
