Default Reel for 14' BnM trolling rod

I'm waiting for a 14' trolling rod to be delivered, and I was curious what weight reel balances this rod out. Granted I'm going to be trolling with it and not casting much, but I'd still like it to be balanced.

    Thanks.

I use bait casters with thumb bars for spider rigging and long lining and Okuma magna pro line counters for pushing and pulling crankbaits. And no they dont balance but does not matter much as they are in rod holders except when I am reeling in fish.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I've got abu garcia 5000 or 5500 on mine. Swapping from a spinning reel to a bait caster was the best thing I ever did for pulling crankbaits

Good ? Kb. I also am interested in what everybody recommends reel for 14 ft. Poles for spider rigging and pulling.
i have had several of the cheaper ones in both styles. I am leaning to a more quality baitcaster for my 4 poles but also don't what the best size is.

I use 14' poles for spider rigging and have the Daiwa Laguna 100H baitcaster reels. I chose those reels based on comments from a similar thread about six months ago. So far they are working well and I have no complaints. I checked prices for them online yesterday and found they averaged about $56.

Get some of these. Good smooth drag and very good reel for the money. Thumb bar reels only way to go on long poles.

Thanks Slab. He is on it. That is what we recommend. We always encourage you to find it locally, but if you can't, bnmpoles.com has our entire line of products. This is a new item so it may be hard to find.

I use line counters for spider rigging and pushing cranks, I don't have to change poles or reels that way and it works fine for me.

Thank you for all of your replies. I am partial to spincasting reels as I've never mastered bait casting. I also want to be able to move The reel from one pole to another.
