Default Good bug-free light to light inside the boat while night fishing?

I currently use a couple of those 27 LED gimme lights that the major cheap tool store gives away every couple of months with a coupon. I slip them between the bimini cover and its frame and it lights the interior of the boat just fine, but man do they attract the bugs. I run two Thermocells too, yet they just seem to spit in their general direction. I'm thinking of spraying the bimini canvas with a Permethrin solution to assist, but those lights will still attract the bugs. What do you guys use for in-boat lighting that does not attract bugs so much?

Some people use the black light bulbs. In the old days people had yellow light bulbs on their porches to keep the bugs at bay. Any light will attract bugs.

Red or blue (florescent) work the best. I use a red headlamp.

I hang a Coleman white gas lantern off the side of the boat and let all the bugs go to it. They die and fall into the water. The light and dead bugs draws in algee and minnows. That draws in bigger fish and I fish it.

I use an LED marker light from a big truck, throws lots of light and easy to find. Mine are blue to match the boat. Used switch, all under $10
