    Default No crappie but.....

Met up with David (dhdk1) and Larimer this morning and with all the water running we thought we would try the weir an see if there were any crappie. No crappie but we put a smack down on the white bass and hybrids. The best 2 were 4.6lb and 5.7lb but we caught so many whites your forearm would cramp up. Kept a nice mess for the next fish fry and were home by 5pm.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432268875.466388.jpg

    Fine mess-O-fish guys!!!
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

The weir is the old roadbed that was used in the construction of Truman dam. It runs parallel to the dam about 100 yards off the face.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432298802.612434.jpg

You can see it in this old areal photograph. It runs about 15 feet deep.

Ok. Thanks. Long drive for us. Saw that area on a exploring drive we took in early spring. There is a boat ramp close the best I remember. Will keep that in mind. Do they still hang there in the summer. Say July when husband is on vacation.

Not to my knowledge. This bite is a function of power generation at the dam. No current no fish.
