I have read posts from North Star. He posts his home as Starbuck, MN. Minnewaska is between Starbuck and Glenwood. I fished there when our kids were young. Great for slab crappies in the flowages between Minnewaska and I believe Pelican Lake. Could see thousands of minnows in the daytime in the flowages, then just before sundown, we would nail the black slabs, then these large things with wings would feed on us. Huge mosquitos. In the daytime we caught lots of nice walleyes with spinners and leeches, drifing over a rocky point on the lake. The lake was also great for northerns. Haven't been back there for years.

Also had good luck fishing the glacial lakes (some park) for northern.

Anyone out there still fishing this area?
