Default Outboard still not fixed after shop visit....arg

Heat warninng beep was intermittent when taken to shop. Had oil change and water pump replaced. This was in mid January.

Boat has been parked since servicing until today. Cranked engine and within 5 minutes, had a constant beep and light. Boat was peeing, but could be thermostat or electrical connection causing problem now.

Shut down motor and checked out the Ulterra and the rear mount TM which I use as a reverse thruster. All works fine.

The maps I made for the new lake came up just fine. At least it is in the proxsimity of water. haha

Loaded up and took the boat back to dealer after about 20 minutes on the water.

No errors on the diagnostics. The engine is a 2011 Merc 4 stroke with a whopping 29 hours on it. Left it with them. Warranty I hope.

Thank goodness I still got a working Jon boat.

Hope they get you fixed and on the water. You need some more hours on that motor.

I don't go too far to catch fish. If I don't catch the fish, then I just go to KFC or to Jose's taco stand.

Long time, no see CP!! Been a while.

    Can't beat extra tasty crispy!!

I'm not familiar with that engine, but the thermostat could cause it...I think the pee stream is not dependent on the thermostat opening. I like that setup though. I like knowing its actually opening and closing. I know there are engines built both ways...just depends on where the water jacket is plumbed for the pee stream.

Would be nice if it was just a faulty sender though. Hope its warranty work and your back out soon!!

There is a heck of a good forum over on Bass Boat Central for Mercury motors. Run this by the guru of that forum. The guy knows everything there is to know it seems.
