First time this season we've fished here for the crappie. Been doing OK on the lake trout, but we wanted to see how the crappie were doing. Launched at 8 am and pulled off at 2 pm. The day was rather cold, with an air temp of only about 55 degrees and the water considerably warmer, at 65 degrees.

The wind (or lack thereof) was our enemy today. Mainly out of the east at between 10 mph and dead calm; shifting directions all morning long. Made drifting, which is what we like to do here, difficult, to say the least. Ended up doing a lot of casting - too much, as my right arm and shoulder paid the price!

We ended the day with 42 fish boated and released. Mixed bag of mainly crappie, but including a couple of stocker rainbows and two big white perch, along with the normal mix of bluegill. Not an exceptional day for us here, but it's a decent start. Here are a couple of pictures of our morning:
