Well it is finally done. It took a long time but we have had two test cruises and even caught fish on the second one. Still ironing out some small details but it is going really well. It started with the PONDTOON arrival two days before Christmas. The first step was to get the 20HP Yamaha and the 12V 55# foot controlled MinnKota trolling motor installed. That took until February to get a break in the weather to get it to my dealer. Then everyday above freezing I was in the garage with space heaters, wiring and adding equipment. There are three Lowrance units; HDS 7M GPS w/NE maps, HDS 5X w/Structurer Scan and an Elite 7X Sonar w/downscan. There are two fixed seats bases w/storage for lots of fishing tackle. the third seat is a pedestal and can be removed if alone for a lot more floor space. The two racks on the stern add more storage area off the main deck. One holds a 3 1/2 gal gas tank and a small cooler or for longer trips the cooler can be replaced with the second 3 1/2 gal gas tank. The second rack a Rubber Maid Action Pak that fits perfectly in it to store extra boat items. The 24" rail system allows for even more storage; 2 Tackle Web Storage units, clips for the modular shallow water anchor pin system, net holder, bumper holders and rod holders for trolling. The anchor pin system is good for 8', 10', 12' or 14'. With two custom made guide tubes, by Custombilt Pondtoons, one on the port stern and one on the starboard bow you can position and hold perfectly. On the deck there is a SpyderLok TR 100 Transporter for 8 rods. It did take a very long time but I noticed the longer you sat, studied it and drank beer , the more good ideas you came up with!! My son is a SWAT Team Leader on the west coast and they have an awesome assault vehicle. I decided this is the perfect " Crappie SWAT Assault Vehicle " !!!!
