I don't know what's happening at either lake, but I'd probably opt for Reelfoot since the KY Lake Memorial Day crowd will likely have the lake churned up pretty good, and Reelfoot isn't much of a water player's idea of a "playground". You'll be there, wherever, a few days prior to a Full Moon, so you should be able to keep the GF busy fishing the Bluegill/Shellcracker beds. The Crappie, on the other hand, will be well into their post spawn movement and should be hanging around wood cover in the 12-20ft depth range (if they haven't already started chasing Shad out over the deeper channels).

Yep, I'd go to Reelfoot. The party boats and lake lice don't make for an enjoyable day when you're trying to fish.

Never heard them called lake lice but it seems fitting
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
