Outside longer poles,longer line out
When running cranks which way do ya'll run the amount of line out... meaning are the the inside polls the longest amount of line out
In my case it all depends on what kind of area I'm trolling. Lots of times I will be just off a channel drop where just a few feet can mean the difference in 18 feet of water and 8 feet of water. Lots of times I may run a 200 or shallower running bait on the side closest to the ledge drop. I run my longest poles in the front spot on my HiTek holders but the amount of line is determined by where I'm trolling and what bait I'm running.
Essentially, there is no set amount of how much line I am running on any of my rods. I normally will set up varying amounts if I'm fishing for suspended fish in open water. If I have 6 rods out, I will start out with different amounts for each rod on either side. Once I figure what depth they are hitting at, I'll set the other rods accordingly.
Same thinking applies to bait colors.

What Dux said. Long rods in forward spot and longest line out.Lately I have been pushing 4 and pulling 2 when by myself. All the rods connect as the day goes on. colors change with the brightness of the day but for me it appears the spawn is about done. I expect a week or two before they will set up in the area's that I'll be able to find them in til fall. No dumb questions, I'll help all I can.

I tried pulling a little while today. Not as easy as some may think. How do you push crank baits? I am doing this all by myself and it gets tough when catching a fish landing it throwing it in live well and still trolling down the middle of a reservoir plus watching everything and everybody boating and jet skiing. It maybe easier for me to try pushing. Any help with how to set up and Push crank baits will be appreciated, Thanks.

3 or 4 oz. weight on mainline with a 3ft. leader to the crank. Depth will be aproximately 2/3 of line out. 15 ft. of line will give you a 10ft. depth.
"Scott V. On the Sippi board has a great pushing system. Comes with a depths chart". Can someone please direct me to this post. I have looked all morning and with my poor computer skills have not been able to find it. Thanks for the help everyone.
