Every Rose has its thorn
These are the stairs going down to a nice waterfall pool in Chautauqua Gorge full of steelies I fished at today. These pics don't really do thier thigh killing ability justice. One pic from the top one from the bottom. Most of it is 45 degrees or steeper.
Good things come to those who bait.
Every Rose has its thorn
i'd walk a thousand miles if i could go fishing when i was done. those stairs might be something else though. you must have legs and buns of steel.
keep on fishin

keep on fishin
That second pic gave me vertigo!!Feeling woozy, gotta run.....
I have always tried to carry everything I might need with me to fish with. This climb would definitely make me downsize my gear.
Aren't you glad you have the"blue slide" at Watts Bar? LOL Blackie & I will be there next week...If you are down that way give us a shout...

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
I would have brung my camera too; so I could stop and take a picture or two, or five, or ten. I think I probably would have been stopping about every 20 steps or so. I probably would have to pack my lunch too.

Thats alot of steps, but there is always an "up" side to it, imagine sliding/falling down the hill or trying to climb back up with a stringer of fish and NO stairs..lol
You can't fish with a hung line!
I hate walking stairs like that. There is a state park that has tons of stairs like that by me. I would definitly not want to haul fishing gear back up that.
Thats definately a one rod and half full vest fishing spot. Not to mention C&R.:D
