I've never been there but maybe this will help. Here's a link to a lake map. I know Alum has some good fish in it.
Good luck and let us know how you do.

I have never been there . My son and his wife live in Powell and hes on vacation this week and wanted to know if I would like to drive up and go to Alum. I live an hour away and wouldn't mind the day with him there but he has never been there either . I wondered if any one here had some advice on the lake as to which area to go this time of year to try for crappie, we are fishing from the bank and every where I've been going around where I live the crappie are still deep so I would guess they are deep in Alum also. Where would be an easy area to drive to fish deep water on that lake ?

Anyone else have any info on Alum? I have a friend who lives right down the road from the lake and would be interested in giving it a try if its worth the drive. Thanks
I was up by it for work around this time last year and pulled my boat up to fish it ...... Did very well in the upper end of the lake fishing shallow on brush and laydowns.... Can't help with any bank fishing spots though sorry...... It's a nice lake ....... If I remember right there maybe some bank area around the boat ramp off of Africa rd...... Caught some nice crappie and a saugeye ...... Jigs under a float
Griggs and O-shay are in the area and pretty nice also
