Default Do crappie like cedar trees for cover?

I was scouting the lake last night on google maps and found some coves with what appear to be cedar trees in the lake. Are these good areas to look for crappie?? Just trying to get a feel for where to look for new places. Thank you. Sorry for the double post. I put this in the wrong place earlier.

Yes. Some of the first crappie I ever caught was around cedar trees that were used as crappie fish habitat.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Yep, probably Cedar trees ... yep, Crappie will be "around" them ... yep, I'd definitely fish them !!

Those in <10fow ... I'd be casting a 1/16oz marabou Roadrunner in between the ones that are close to each other. Then right beside those that are out away from any of the others, just outside of the reach of the branches that stick out the most.

Those in >10fow ... I'd be Vertical Casting right down through the branches.

Cedar trees are 90% of what I fish in the lakes around here.
